Comcast Takes to the Track at Chicagoland Speedway
No. 66 Haas CNC Racing Chevrolet Will Carry Comcast Colors on July 15 Weekend

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 9) – Best Buy Co., Inc., announced today that Comcast Corporation, a Best Buy retail partner, will be the primary sponsor of the No. 66 Haas CNC Racing Chevrolet and driver Jeff Green during the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

Green’s Chevrolet Monte Carlo will carry a special black and yellow design representing Comcast, the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services.

Comcast is an associate sponsor of the Haas CNC Racing team this season, appearing on the No. 66 Chevrolet in races where Best Buy is the car’s primary sponsor.

The sponsorship is designed to raise awareness of the Best Buy/Comcast partnership, which allows customers to sign up for Comcast’s Triple Play bundle of Digital Cable, high-speed Internet and digital voice services, at Best Buy retail locations, and at www.BestBuy.com.

“We’re excited to have the Comcast car on track in Chicagoland,” said Marvin Davis, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Comcast. “As the nation’s leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, this sponsorship is a great opportunity to reinforce that our services offer the best way to experience all of the racing excitement--and we’re rooting for the No. 66 Comcast Chevrolet to be in the lead when the checkered flag is shown.”

While the Chicagoland event marks the first time the Comcast Chevrolet will be seen on track, Comcast customers have already gotten a glimpse of the special paint design. For the past month, an advertisement featuring the car with driver Jeff Green has been airing on Comcast cable systems.

The spot, which was filmed at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway, shows Green winning a race while driving a car with three wheels. The ad is designed to remind Comcast customers that they can subscribe to Comcast’s Triple Play bundle of Comcast’s Digital Cable, high-speed Internet and digital voice services, and “Win with Three.”

“We had a lot of fun making that commercial,” Green said. “It’s a great-looking car, and Comcast is a great sponsor for this sport. You can watch a race in high definition and follow along on the Internet, and it makes you feel like you’re in the front row at the track even when you’re sitting on your couch.”

The No. 66 Comcast Chevrolet will take to the track at Chicagoland Speedway for the first time on Friday, July 13, during practice for the USG Sheetrock 400. The race will air live on Sunday, July 15, beginning at 2:30 p.m. EDT on TNT and MRN Radio affiliates.
